| Hybrid-Vorverstärker Ein Sender und zwei vollwertige Empfänger sind auf 3 Antenneneingänge beliebig schaltbar. Für den PT-8000 kommen deshalb für jeden Antenneneingang neu entwickelte Hybrid-Vorverstärker auf Keramik- Substrat (GaAs-FET's) zum Einsatz. One transmitter and two identical and autonomous receivers can be hooked up to 3 antenna jacks. Therefore the PT-8000 incorporates newly developed hybrid preamplifiers (GaAsFET) for each antenna. |

| Preselektor Ein automatisch abgeglichener Preselektor sorgt im Frequenzbereich von 1,8 MHz bis 30 MHz für Vorselektion. Die Grundlagenforschung bei der Hilberling GmbH hat gezeigt, dass die Großsignalfestigkeit mit dem Kernvolumen im LC-Kreis korreliert. Preselector: automatically tuned thus providing the decisive first selectivity between 1.8 and 30 MHz. Basic studies at Hilberling GmbH revealed the correlation between the achievable large signal tolerance (IM) and the sheer mass of the toroids used in the LC-circuit. |

| Quarzfilter Die Quarzfilterausstattung des PT-8000 ist reichhaltig und komplett: Sechs 6-polige Roofing-Filter und vierzehn (!) 16-polige Quarzfilter kommen zum Einsatz. Der Formfaktor bei 2,7 kHz beträgt 1,3. Der Sender verfügt über drei 16-polige Quarzfilter (USB, LSB sowie HF-Kompressor). Crystal filters are used to the maximum extent possible in the PT-8000: Six 6-pole roofing-filters and fourteen (!) 16-pole crystal ladder filters are applied. The shape factor @ 2.7 KHz is 1.3. The transmitter exploits three 16-pole crystal ladder filters (LSB/USB and RF-processor). |

| Die Selektivität der Empfänger wird erreicht durch die Kombination von
Quarz-Filtern, analogen Audio-Filtern und einer DSP im NF-Bereich. Die
DSP verbessert die Eigenschaften der Quarz-Filter an den Filterflanken und
reduziert die Bandbreite bis auf 50 Hz. Sie stellt zudem in Ergänzung zum
HF-Notchfilter (10,7 MHz) ein Mehrton-Notchfilter zur Verfügung und
weist eine exzellente Störunterdrückung auf (Noise Reduction). The combination of crystal filters, analogue audio filters and sophisticated DSP which operates at audio frequencies guarantees the outstanding selectivity. The DSP is tasked to improve the passband of the crystal filter especially at its flanks and to ensure narrow bandwidths down to 50 Hz. What is more the DSP provides in addition to the IF-notch at 10.7 MHz a multitone audio notch and an excellent feature to enhance readability known as noise reduction. |

| Oberwellenfilter (TX-Out) Gute Modulation und spektrale Reinheit des Sendesignals sind die Visitenkarte des ambitionierten Funkamateurs. Im PT-8000 werden deshalb erstmals in der Amateurfunktechnik 8 Diplexer/Oberwellenfilter im TX-Ausgang eingesetzt. Sie verhindern die Reflektion der Oberwellen an Filtern und Antennen. Der automatische Antennenkoppler garantiert optimale Arbeitsbedingungen für die PA. Outstanding modulation and spectral purity of the RF-signal are of utmost importance for the ambitious ham radio operator. For the first time in ham radio equipment the PT-8000 incorporates 8 DIPLEXER/ Low Pass Filters at the output of the PA. They prevent reflection of harmonics by low pass filters and antennas. The automatic tuner guarantees optimum working conditions and power transfer for the finals. |
